Dragonsoft Research is a multi-disciplined technology development outfit, specializing in developing customized solutions for clients across a range of industries.

Dragonsoft is an R&D outfit that specializes in developing technology that bridges the gap in the way we communicate and interact with the technology surrounding us. Our main focus is to further develop the field of immersion technology and optical interactive technology.

    A circuit that bridges the “Be A Cling Hero” mobile app and the rodeo machine's control unit, so participants stabilize the ride by shaking their phone.

    Dragonsoft has developed a circuit that acts as a communication bridge between the “Be A Cling Hero” mobile application and the rodeo machine's control unit. This circuit enables participants to stabilize the rodeo machine by shaking the mobile device.

    This system was initially deployed in Sunway Pyramid, KL, Malaysia, and will be visiting other venues across Malaysia. The video gives you an idea of how this service works.

    Astro Positive Engine

    An IoT installation that pulls hashtagged posts from Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and pushes them down to a miniature journey through Malaysia.

    Dragonsoft Research was commissioned to realize an IoT (Internet of Things) installation that gets posts from various social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter that share a common hashtag, and pushes them down to the installation situated at Mid Valley.

    The installation consists of miniature models of landmarks throughout Malaysia, and as spectators follow the ball around the track, they follow a journey through Malaysia.

    Landmarks like Genting, Gua Niah, Jonker Street in Melaka, Langkawi's eagle monument and cable car, the Eye of Malaysia, KLCC, the Sepang F1 circuit, Putrajaya, the National Mosque, Batu Caves, KLIA and many more handmade, intricate details have been incorporated into the installation.

    Fiducial Music Surface

    A round, fiducial-enabled surface built for Hennessy: guests mix music by placing and moving circles on the table.

    Dragonsoft Research developed and built a round, fiducial-enabled surface specifically for Hennessy. Users first select a music genre by placing the bigger circle on the surface and turning it until it reaches their desired genre.

    Once a genre has been selected, users have 10 smaller circles that represent musical elements. By placing each circle on the table, the musical element is heard over the speakers. The volume of the musical elements can be decreased or increased by moving the circles away from or towards the centre of the screen.

    Three multitouch applications for Petronas's promotional road shows during the Malaysian GP weekend.

    In conjunction with the Malaysian GP weekend, Dragonsoft was engaged by Petronas Malaysia to develop multitouch games for promotional road shows. Dragonsoft developed 3 applications, designed to include prominent PETRONAS branding.

    A puzzle game with 3 different levels was developed for this campaign. A 2D racing game was also developed, using the Sepang circuit as the track. To introduce the Mercedes-Petronas GP team to the public, an informative application with information on the team's personnel was also developed.

    This invite was a custom-developed AR THIRST invite for GAB Malaysia & Compass Communications. Invites were handed out to all invited media, VIPs and other collaborators and partners. Everyone likes the hidden-message concept! A new way to reveal event details and more.
